We record 8am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday.  We are open during the lunch hour.

Montcalm County Register of Deeds Office, is open to the public,  the well-being of our customers and staff members is our top priority.    For your convenience, our digital tools make it easy to do searching online.    If you need a document recorded you can mail it to the Register of Deeds, P.O. Box 368, Stanton, MI 48888, please send a self-addressed-stamped-envelope for where to return your document.  Please see the side button frequently ask questions for recording fees.   We have electronic recordings with all of our Title Companies in the area.

Montcalm County Register of Deeds

The Register of Deeds is the recording office for all documents pertaining to real property and personal property in Montcalm County. We proof read all documents to make sure they meet recording requirements and we give each document an instrument number to be indexed and scanned to make a permanent record.

Our mission statement: “To give excellent service, to work closely with the Board of Commissioners, to have an open door policy to your elected officials, to give timely and quality processing of your documents and to protect those records for the public record.”
