Stanton Fire Department Annual Budget
The department operates on approximately $53,000 a year divided equally among the four (4) entities (City of Stanton, Douglass, Evergreen and Sidney Townships.) that make up the Fire Board.  This money is used to pay for utilities, maintenance of the firehouse, equipment and vehicles.  The firefighter’s wages are allocated from these funds along with new equipment, insurance, station and office supplies and training.  When it is time for a vehicle to be replaced, other funding options have to be explored in order to make such a needed replacement as was with the purchase of Engine 2 in 2006.
