This board is headed by Jeff Smith, Chairman.  Other members are Chris Moran, Ivan Christiansen, Ray Leyrer, & Dave Buckner.  A Master Plan for Sidney Township has been compiled by this committee for the future in keeping a rural setting.  The Board meets quarterly on the 2nd Tues of Mar, June, Sept, & Dec 7 PM at the Township Hall. Dec 19, 2007 Planning Commission minutes

In Attendance were Chairman Jeff Smith, Ray Leyrer, Dave Buckner, Sidney Twp Board Representative Ivan Christensen & Chris Moran.  Also present was Dale Main, Zoning board Administrator.

Meeting was called to order promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Several visitors were present, acknowledged and welcomed by Chairman Smith.

Motions were made & passed to accept the minutes from the previous meeting & the agenda for this meeting.

No public hearings were scheduled.

Old Business: 1.  Presented for review were additions/revisions to the Zoning Ordinance to be voted on regarding Article XVI Special Land Uses, Section 16.02 B and C3.  Motion to accept language of additional text was unanimously approved.

2.  Jeff Smith commented on the status of a privacy fence around the business property located on Nevins Rd. where boats are winterized, shrink wrapped & stored on the property.  It was confirmed that a privacy fence would be erected to block views from 522 & Nevins Rd.

Mr Don Smucker introduced himself & presented information regarding land use and zoning/planning issues.  He is an educator concerned with "best practices" for planning development of land use policy, infrastructure and other related issues in a cost-effective manner.

Report from Zoning Administrator Main: no actionable developments since last meeting.

Report from Zoning Board of Appeals: nothing to report per Moran.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
