The Montcalm Human Services Coalition (MHSC) started in 1994. Since that time, the group has evolved to address Montcalm County's changing needs and seize new opportunities. The MHSC is recognized by the State of Michigan as one of 76 State endorsed Community Collaboratives throughout Michigan. The MHSC is a voluntary community coalition and does not have legal status (such as "non-profit"). The MHSC meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District's Michigan Room, located at 621 N. New Street, Stanton, MI. The current meeting schedule can be found under the Meetings Information tab, along with the current meeting's agenda.

Current Executive Committee Members are Erin Roberts, Chairperson (Relief After Violent Encounter - Ionia/Montcalm); Michelle Seigo, Vice-Chairperson (Ionia Montcalm Department of Human Services); Bob Ferrentino, Past Chairperson (Montcalm Community College); Erin Roberts and Michelle Seigo, Basic Needs Committee Co-Chairpersons (Relief After Violent Encounter - Ionia/Montcalm and Ionia Montcalm Department of Human Services); Bob Ferrentino, Education Committee Chairperson (Montcalm Community College); and Dr. Dorothy Berg, Health Care Committee Chairperson (North Kent Guidance Services).
