High resolution aerial photography of Montcalm County can now be viewed online for a subscription fee. The photography was taken in April, 2006 at a resolution of 6 inches per pixel (click on photo at right for a sample). It must be noted that the parcel lines may not align exactly. Parcel lines are drawn from deeded descriptions and the photos are projection from high above the land. Subscription Fees Subscriptions for online viewing can be purchased in 24 hour or 1 year periods. 24 hours of access costs $25.00. Annual access costs $250.00. See the instructions below to purchase a subscription. Methods of Payment Payment for subscriptions can be made either by check (in person at the Montcalm County Equalization Department or by mail) or by secure online credit card payment via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card. Large Format Prints Available Large format customized prints of the photography, as well as digital map data, can be purchased from the Montcalm County Equalization Department. To subscribe to the web maps, you must have an account on the Montcalm County Community Center web site. If you do not already have an account, click Register at the top of this page. If you already have an account, please log in now. Click My Profile to view your user profile. At the bottom of your profile, look for the Annual and One Day subscription areas. Click Your Membership in the area of your choice. Payment instructions will appear. NOTE that you can pay any amount. Accounts are debited at the end of the subscription period. For example, if you want access for two days, pay $50 into the One Day subscription. Your account will be debited $25 after 24 hours, leaving a balance of $25. After another 24 hours, your account will be debited $25 again, leaving a balance of $0. As long as you maintain the minimum balance in your account, access to the maps will be available.
