Michigan has many health care programs available to children, families, and adults who meet certain eligibility requirements. The goal of these health care programs is to ensure that essential health care services are made available to those who otherwise would not have the financial resources to purchase them. 

All of the health care programs in Michigan have income limits and some programs also have an asset limit which vary by program.

Medicaid is the only program application that can be done all by mail. An application must be completed and turned in to determine if you are able to get Medicaid through Department of Human Services. When you file an application, you need to provide information about all of the members in your household.
