The Smokehouse was built in 2004, We raised over 25,000 in money and materials all donated by local businesses, families, Local Fire departments, and pancake fundraisers. Local contractors donated there time in constructing the smokehouse and the fire dept. spent many hours, nights, and weekends finishing the project. We use for fire safety, weather safety, how to get out of a burning house plus firefighter training as well. It has a living room, Kitchen, stairwell, bedroom, and bathroom plus a heated door. We can smoke any room in the house or all rooms at once. It also has working phones to practice calling 911. Every room has cameras in it so the controller can monitor every room from the control room. We run tours for the schools, church’s, cub scouts, girl scouts, plus many other groups as well. The Montcalm County Fire Academy also uses it for training new firefighters as well as other fire departments.

To setup a tour or info on your department using it for training just gives us a call. The Sheridan Fire Dept Smokehouse Contacts are
