Bids Being Accepted

Montcalm County Commission on Aging is seeking a provider for our senior meals program. We are soliciting this bid with the understanding that if we do not receive the contract from Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan (AAAWM) for the meal program, then we would not contract with the winning bidder for this service.  The following are the criteria for which we want you to respond to our bid;

1. We have attached the AAAWM criteria and will expect that your bid is in full compliance with all requirements.

2. We currently serve 140 seniors an average of 840 meals per week through the Home Delivered Meal program (HDM).     We currently have 6 Congregate Meal sites (CM) that serves an average of 1000 meals per month. This will be a unit cost bid, with a unit meaning 1 meal.

3. We are specifically looking for a provider to make and deliver the meals both HDM and CM. If you are not interested in delivery, we will take that into consideration. We want to receive bids that include cost of preparing the meal and then a separate delivery cost.

4. Montcalm County Commission on Aging will be responsible for the Site Hostess’ and all meal assessments required through AAAWM.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Montcalm County Commission on Aging March 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.

Sealed bid proposals marked “Senior Meals Program” and are due in the Office of the County Controller, 211 W. Main Street, PO Box 368, Stanton, MI 48888 by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009.  Bids will be opened at 4:30 p.m. in the Office of the County Controller.

Montcalm County reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids.
