MCES has many part-time employees working as rescue attendants. While these personnel are paid for their time, their status is still considered "volunteer" since they take time out of their busy lives to staff the department's rescue units. Each person who works for MCES on a rescue unit must minimally be licensed by the State of Michigan as a Medical First Responder. MCES has 10 rescue units strategically placed throughout Montcalm County. Five of these 10 units carry extrication equipment; they are located in Trufant, Sheridan, Carson City, Edmore and Howard City. The other five units are located in Greenville, Stanton, Vestaburg, Lakeview an Pierson. MCES is always looking for individuals who are iterested in serving their community. If you would like to become part of our organization or would like more information contact MCES at 989.831.7580 or 616.225.7580 or print an application. Applications must be mailed to MCES at 655 N. State Street, Stanton, MI 48888.
