Our department relies on fundraising and grant awards to help purchase much needed equipment for the firefighters to do their jobs and protect the communities’ property. Through the fundraising activities such as bake sales, car washes, Stanton Old Fashion Days, pancake breakfast & suppers and private donations and contributions, the fire department has managed to raise funds to purchase a used pickup truck (Brush 7) to be used during the wildfire season.The monies have also been used to purchase uniforms, badges, onboard charging systems for both engines among other necessities.The annual budget just isn’t enough to maintain fire equipment and the changes in technology.
