Land Use Educator

The Montcalm County Planning Commission has initiated the Land Use Educator position funded by the Montcalm County Board of Commissioners. This goal of this position is to develop educational programs dealing with land use issues in Montcalm County. Responsibilities include working with educational programs directed to local units of government and county citizens to raise awareness of the visions, goals and implementation strategies of the County General Plan.

 

Education is viewed as one of the primary tasks of the Planning Commission and they  felt that one of the most effective ways this could be done was to utilize the resources available through MSU Extension. The Land Use Educator is currently working one day a week at Montcalm County Extension Office and can be contacted at:
