Undersheriff Mark T. Bellinger

On January 15, 2010, Mark T. Bellinger became the Undersheriff with the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office. Bellinger started his career at the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office in 1989 after graduating from the 44th recruit school at the Mid Michigan Police Academy in Lansing. After Recruit training, Bellinger was assigned to the Marine Division. He was later transferred to the Patrol Bureau where he worked in traffic services and general patrol. Undersheriff Bellinger then worked in the Criminal Investigation Division as a Detective for 2 years until he was promoted to Sergeant and was then reassigned back to the Road Patrol Division where he oversaw the Community Policing program. Undersheriff Bellinger graduated from Central Montcalm High School and is also a graduate of Montcalm Community College and Northwestern University. He graduated from Police School of Staff and Command (SPSC # 189), FBI-NA, LEEDA, and Executive Police Management Program (EMP # 29). In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious “Public Safety Executive Leadership Award.” Bellinger is a past president for the school PTO program and serves as a city councilman in his community. Mark and his wife Renee attend Evergreen Church with their 2 sons Nicholas and Blake.
