MCES and the Montcalm County Central Dispatch Authority have collaborated to develop the "E-Care" program. This program allows individuals to fill out a form which describes special needs and situations for their household and residents of the household and submit the form to Central Dispatch so this information can be entered on the individual household's enhanced 911 screen.

What this means is when someone dials 911, the individual screen that "pops up" for dispatchers based on your phone number will contain the special information you have submitted regarding your household. For example, if you have an elderly resident on continuous oxygen who cannot walk, emergency responders will be advised of that fact when responding to your location. Other information that is useful includes disabled children in the home, significant medical history such as diabetes or heart problems, and special directions that may be necessary to locate your home if you live "off the beaten path".
