MCES serves as staff to the Office of the Medical Examiner. Montcalm County's Chief Medical Examiner is Dr. James Banner, who provides most autopsy services as required by law. Deputy Medical Examiners are Dr. Dom Ausiello and Dr. Gerald Tovatt.
