Materials reqiured for a zoning permit request:
Property identification number, description of the proposed project, including size of buildings, and intended use. Site plan; Showing building size, setbacks from roads and property lines, distance from other buildings, location of driveways, and distance from well & septic systems.
A $20.00 fee is also required with the completed zoning application.
Administrative Duties:
Review requests for Zoning Permits. Approve or disappove zoning permits, according to the zoning ordinance. Issue zoning permits, if appropiate. Answer zoning questions from the public and the Township Board. Act as spokesman to the public, in regards to zoning issues. Try to observe and correct zoning violations. Enforce the zoning ordiance.
Additional Information:
Print-out portions of the ordiance to answer questions upon request. Finally, I make every effort to refer the public to the proper person or organization when requests are made of me. When these requests are the responsiblity of another department, you may be referred to building Dept.,zoning board,zoning board of appeals, board chairman, assessor, etc.
