The Register of Deeds is the recording office for all documents pertaining to real property and personal property in Montcalm County. We proof read all documents to make sure they meet recording requirements and we give each document an instrument number to be indexed and scanned to make a permanent record.
Our mission statement: "To give excellent service, to work closely with the Board of Commissioners, to have an open door policy to your elected officials, to give timely and quality processing of your documents and to protect those records for the public record."
