NEW in June, 2007 - The Carl Paepke Flat River Nature Park is situated on approximately 69 acres and has 4,200 feet of frontage on the beautiful Flat River.  Not far from McCarthy Park, it is located at 3494 S. Johnson Road, 1/2 mile south of Sidney Road, from Gowen. 

The Carl Paepke Flat River Nature Park offers a quiet, pristine nature area with two (2) walking trails - one is eight tenths (.8) of a mile long and one is one mile & eight tenths (1.8) miles long.  Trails are open for horseback riding.

There's a parking area just off Johnson Road at the entrance to the park.

You'll find something for all families to enjoy.  No rental fees.
