Commissioner Dan Petersen
Dan Petersen has served as a Montcalm County Commissioner since January 1, 2005. Dan serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Health & Human Services Committee. Dan also serves on the following committee's: Economic Development & Physical Resources, Finance & Personnel, Ionia Montcalm District DHS Board liaison, Northern Michigan Counties Association, and the WMRPC CEDSC.

District 2 includes all of Eureka Township and all of Fairplains Township. The 4th precinct of the City of Greenville is also included in the second commissioner district. (The fourth precinct consists of a majority of the Northeast portion of Greenville using M-57 and M-91 as the dividing lines.)
