State law requires all dogs four (4) months of age and older to have a current rabies vaccination and license. For a one (1) year license the rabies must be valid the entire year. For a three (3) year license the rabies must be valid the entire three (3) years. Check your rabies expiration date prior to mailing your application. The license cannot extend longer than the rabies shot. If your dog has been spayed or neutered or has a new rabies shot since its last license, send proof with your application.

Q: What do I need to get a dog license?
A: A valid rabies certificate and spay or neuter certificate.

Q: When do I need to get a dog license?
A: By the age of 4 months. You purchase your license in the month that your rabies vaccination was given.

Each day 10,000 humans are born on the U.S. -- and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. We will never have enough homes for them. As a result, many are facing early deaths. Please spay and neuter your pets.
