Artman Park
7095 N. Amy School Road Howard City, MI (Reynolds Township) (One and a half miles West of Howard City, north corner of M-82 and Amy School Road, just off US-131, exit 118 E.) Hours: Open Sunrise to Sunset, May 1st thru October 31st
Artman Park is ideal for picnicking and back woods hiking and is a popular site for weddings. (Reservations are recommended) Artman Park covers 30 acres of prime recreation land with large tracts of woodlands and frontage on the pristine Tamarack Creek including an island connected to the shore by a foot bridge. Recreation facilities & amenities include restrooms, parking, rustic picnic area & tables, fishing, back woods hiking, and swimming - at your own risk. No pavilion, grills or electricity.
RESERVATIONS: Reservations can be made beginning February 1 of each year by calling 989-831-7300 between 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Rental Fees - $40 bridge area (which is marked by fences and includes the island and bridge). Groups of tables may be reserved for special occasions for $40 for 8 tables.

The park is open to the public and when the bridge area and/or tables are not reserved, they are available for use by the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis.
